American Troops in Iraq

From an e-mail correspondent: these are the soldiers that people like Dick Durbin and John Kerry say have been terrorizing Iraqis.

Happy pictures make me feel happy! Sad pictures make me feel mad.

John, your "feelings" aren't really the issue here.
Maybe you could provide us with a nice Al Qaeda picture that makes you "feel" either, happy or sad.

Look at how much fun war is. Cute, giggling children everywhere!

Leave it to the liberal media to ignore Operation Enduring Teeter-Totter. Typical.

I can't understand why the army is having trouble meeting their recruitment quotas. The Iraq War looks like summer camp.

I guess all those cases of PTSD are because returning soldiers can't deal with not being swarmed by adorable children all day.

Let me guess.

You don't blame the terrorists for that, you blame Bush and Cheney!

Did my reply to your question get lost in the internets?

Probably. I haven't rejected it. Send it again.

It was so eloquent too!

I said:

Do I blame Bush and Cheney for the soldiers' PTSD? Not entirely, no. I blame the war, and there is more than enough responsibility to go around for that.

But I certainly don't absolve them completely. After all, the returning soldiers' mental hardships are directly related to the war zone to which Bush and Cheney sent them.

How to Blog, by JM.

Step 1: Introduce Straw Man

Step 2: Present some anecdotal evidence (that usually isn't even sufficient to defeat the straw man position.)

Step 3: Wait a couple of days, and then repeat
